Nathan Robert Behrens was born on December 29, 1985 to Larry and Kristi (Kosbab) Behrens in Fairmont, MN. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 2004 and attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities from 2004-2005. Nathan lived in St. Peter with his girlfriend, Brittany and her son, Colten, who looked up to Nathan as a father figure and they cherished their time together. Nathan was working at Alumacraft in St. Peter where he was lead person for installing the boat’s interiors. He also enjoyed previously working with Dave Gratz and the Woodworks team.
Nate’s favorite activities were spending time outdoors fishing and kayaking. He was an avid sports fan of the Minnesota Gophers, Timberwolves and Vikings and had an agreement with his brother-in-law Devin that IF the Vikings ever won the Super Bowl, they would both get a commemorative tattoo. Nate’s infectious smile and fun sense-of-humor will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Larry and Kristi Behrens; sister, Lisa (Devin) Nelson and their daughter, Myla; girlfriend, Brittany Hood and her son, Colten; grandpa, Bob Kosbab; aunts and uncles, Tom and Gwen Lencowski, Paul and Cindi Tomlinson and Kevin and Sherri Roforth; cousins, John Lencowski (Kelly Duhn), Brady (Colleen) Tomlinson, Erin (Corey) Simpson, Shelby Tomlinson, Jayden (Mariah) Garlick, Colby (J’aime) Garlick, Kelynn Garlick, Jaxen Garlick, Crystal (Ryan) Stowe and Cassie (Greg) Fisher; and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Omar and Janet Behrens and Pat Kosbab; and uncle, Rickard Garlick.
The family wishes to take this opportunity to express sincere gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of love and support.
