Neal Brian Mello, 57, of Galt, California, passed away peacefully on June 4th. Neal was predeceased by his father, Richard Mello and brother, Tony Mello. He will forever be missed by his mother, Gwen Mello, his siblings, Mike, Dana and Aaron, his three kids, Nicholas, Danielle and Alex, several nieces and nephews, and his dog, Buster.

so sad for neil, we spent a few years as friends while we worked together at shopping kart as well as having some wild times in sacramento. time’s i’ll never forget. RIP

Gwen, Unfortunately you, my mom & I all belong to a club that no parent wants to be a part of. As we know it's not natural for our children to pass before us. I had no idea how mom must have gone to that very dark place in her mind when she was alone. No one who has never lost a child can come close to understand what a parent goes through for the rest of their life after a child passes. To be honest Gwen, I have no idea what your going through at the loss of your two precious sons. Just know that I pray for your ability to cope with the loss of Neal, as you already know there is never any closer but the only thing you have in your favor is "TIME!" I keep Shanna with me by my precious memories & talking about her every day! Lean on your family & friends to help you get through this heart breaking loss. I'm TRUELY sorry for you & your family's loss. I'll keep all of you in my prayers & close to my heart. God be with each of you.
