Nilton Cesar Teixeira
“Loving Son, Brother and Uncle”
Mr. Nilton Cesar Teixeira, 35, of 23 Robindale Drive, died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident Sunday on Woodtick Road in Waterbury.
Nilton was born in Waterbury on May 20, 1979, son of Cesar R. and Antonia Ana (Silva) Teixeira with whom he lived, of Prospect. He was a graduate of Chase Grammar School, attended Crosby High School and graduated from Wolcott High School class of 1998. He earned his electrical certificate from W.F. Kaynor Technical Trade School. He worked as an electrician for the past ten years for Mechanix Lii LLC Electrical Contractors of Cheshire. He was a loving son, brother and uncle to his best friend and special nephew Calvin R. Poe. Nilton was an avid Comic Book enthusiast and collector. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents and nephew, Nilton leaves his sister Jackie Teixeira and her husband SSGT Daniel Poe of Prospect, a brother, Airman First Class Andrew Teixeira of McGuire Air Force Base in Trenton, NJ, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held Friday 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral home 430 Chase Parkway to Our Lady of Fatima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

This was a sad day for many people. This man being taken from us so early in life. He was the one person that always made you smile no matter what the situation was - and those "bear hugs" I will miss more than you know - God bless your family through this tragedy - and may you rest in peace Nilton - you will be forever missed

Nilton was one of the sweetest guys I know. A friend of both my daughters (Xenia & Alysha) he was always there to lend a helping hand and a warm smile and a kind word. He was generous with his time and mostly his heart. He will be truly missed by our family.

I am so sad about what happened. You were a Great person i will always remember us trying to beat each other to my house and i tried to be the one that won and cut across one of the roads but i did not win you did because i had a big deer in the middle of the road. Lol. i remember pulling up my driveway and you laugh because you won. And i could not say anything except for you to look in the yard. And we both stood there in shock.. or the first time i saw you at Illusion and we satred talking. I thought you were so funny. And then talking led into dating and hanging out at your house and loving your family. Oh how sad i am. I wish we kept intouch. I am going to miss seeing you here and there at the inn. R.I.P.
