Olivia Flores, 94, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom peacefully on Friday evening, January 16, 2026 at her residence in Santa Rosa surrounded by her loving family.
Olivia was born on January 21, 1931 in Laredo, Texas to Victor and Francisca Gomez.
Olivia was the owner of Olie’s Restaurant. She had a heart of gold, was loving and compassionate, and was a very giving person. She was always ready to help anyone in need and happy to feed and serve them. Maria was a caregiver all of her life and was always caring for loved ones. She left a beautiful legacy behind and will always be remembered for helping others and caring for everyone she befriended.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rogelio Flores, children, Diana Sanchez and Tammy Flores, and son-in-law, Rene Benavides.
Olivia leaves behind her loving family to cherish her beautiful memory, children, Linda Benavides (Rene+), Sandra Rickford (Refugio) and Ivonne Cavazos (Hector); 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughter; other relatives, and friends. Olivia was a wonderful, loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend whose memory will live on in our hearts forever and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Chapel service and Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral procession will depart from Trinity Funeral Home at 2:45 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026 for interment to Santo Nombre Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
Honored to serve as her pallbearers will be Hannah Cavazos, Megan Cavazos, Hector Cavazos, Luis Gonzalez, Mark Flores, and Gerardo Cantu.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to Harbor Hospice and all of their staff for the love and great care they gave our mother.

Condolences to the Flores family, I use to go eat at her restaurant her food was very good, especially the Menudo & Carne guisada, if we were short on money we would ask for drink & she knew it, so she would just bring us a coke, & smile we were very happy that she did, we were poor teens, RIP Mrs Olivia Flores God Bless you for all your kindness.......
