I'm so sorry to hear about Pat. I met Pat & Sonny in the 80s, and we all instantly took a liking to each other. She was such fun loving person who will truly be missed by myself and all who knew her. R.I.P !!

Our beautiful mother Patricia (Pat) L. (Cole) Floyd of Woburn, MA passed away peacefully on November 09, 2025. Born on March 17, 1936, in Washington DC, Pat grew up in the foster care system down South, eventually making her way to Arlington, MA when she was just 18 years old. It was there she met and married Arthur “Sonny” Floyd on November 14, 1955. Together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage, building a home filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering support for one another and their 4 children.
She was the loving mother of Sherrie Floyd-Cutler and her husband George, Sharon Floyd and her companion John Cote, James Floyd, and the late John (Jack) Floyd and his surviving wife Karen. Beloved grandmother of Adam and Mallory Floyd, Jesse and Lily McCabe, and great-grandmother to Cannon McCabe.
In her later years, Pat took a position as a lunch lady, a role through which she brightened the days of countless children. The kids adored her. Many remembered her long after she retired, and continued to send cards and occasionally visited. Her legacy lives on in her children, and the many lives she touched.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, 23 November 2025 at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Square) Somerville MA from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends invited.
