Patricia Leonard

Patricia P Leonard, 89, died Friday, March 13, 2026. A native of Big Stone Gap, VA, Pat was the daughter of the late, Frank and Ada McBride Pleasant. She moved to the Peninsula in 1972 and most recently loved living at the Arbors in Newport News.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Denise Kamarakafego; five grandchildren, Steven McAbee, Landon McAbee, Shawn Morris, Kendall Carpenter and Logan Elliott; and three great-grandchildren, Cadence McAbee, Jaxon Elliott, and Molly Elliott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; daughter, Elaine Morris; step-sons, Ronnie Leonard, Patrick Leonard and Michael Leonard; her sisters, Virginia Lane, Irene Douglas, Lillie Akens and Pansy Giza; and brothers, Lester Pleasant, Frank Pleasant, Harold Pleasant, Vernon Pleasant, and Kenneth Pleasant.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1-2 pm at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, 245 S. Armstead Ave, Hampton. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton.
