Patricia Ann Resch (née Miggins), 72, of Saratoga Springs, New York, passed away on January 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on June 16, 1953, in New York City, Patricia was the daughter of the late M. Gerard Miggins and Veronica Miggins (née Duffy). She was educated at Sacred Heart of Mary High School, where the values of faith, service, and family that guided her throughout her life were deeply rooted.
Following high school, Patricia pursued her calling in nursing at St. Vincent’s Nursing School, earning her Registered Nurse degree. She began her career at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Greenwich Village and later devoted many years of compassionate service at North Shore–LIJ. Known for her quiet strength, empathy, and dedication to her patients, Patricia embodied the very heart of nursing.
On May 17, 1975, Patricia married the love of her life, Gregory Resch, in New York City. Together they built a beautiful life centered on family, raising their children in Williston Park and Garden City, New York. Throughout the years, Patricia also lived in Inwood, Forest Hills, and New York City before retiring to Saratoga Springs, a place she came to call home.
Above all else, Patricia treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving and steady mother, and a proud nana who delighted in every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering presence were felt at every family gathering, large or small. She had a gentle way of making those around her feel cared for, listened to, and loved.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Gregory Resch; her children, Christopher Resch (Elaine), Kerry Cerrone (Anthony), and Lauren Resch (Jennifer); her cherished grandchildren, Dylan, Brady, and Charlie Resch, and Dean and Devin Cerrone; and her sister, Lizann Miggins. She was predeceased by her uncle, Brother Joseph Miggins, FSC.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Burke and Bussing Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, New York. A funeral home service will be celebrated at 6pm.
