Patricia I. Ryan, "Pat", born in June,1942 to Robert and Deborah Gibler-Ryan in Houston, Texas, passed away on November 13, 2025.
She spent her early years in Houston, attending primary and middle school before continuing her education at San Marcos Baptist Academy, where she formed lifelong friendships. Following her graduation in 1961, Pat attended the University of Texas at Austin.
A dedicated businesswoman, Pat built a successful career in the Houston area, worked for several banks and later for Texas Instruments, Inc. One of her most meaningful professional accomplishments was her service on the Board of Directors for Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham, a position she held and cherished for almost two decades.
Pat often spoke fondly of a childhood summer camp in Wimberley, where she first fell in love with the Texas Hill Country. Determined to one day make it her home, she fulfilled that dream in 1990, when she purchased her heritage Ryan Ranch in Blanco.
Her love for Morgan horses was one of her greatest passions. She actively raised, trained and showed this beloved breed for many years. She joyfully spent the next thirty-five years caring for her land, animals, and community.
Deeply committed to civic involvement, Pat served on the Boards of the Lindendale Community Association, Blanco Library, Inc., the Yucca Garden Club, Gem of the Hills, and the Blanco Woman’s Club. Pat never met a stranger and made Akko feel welcome. She was also a devoted member of Blanco Methodist Church.
Above all, Pat treasured spending time with her family and friends. Her brilliant gift of wit, and a sharp, dry sense of humor, always brought much laughter to everyone in her presence, even in her last days. She shared her heart freely, and left behind a legacy of generosity, wisdom, purpose and grace.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ryan Ranch, Ranch Road 1888, Blanco, Texas. Reception to follow.
