Patricia JoAnn Simoncini

 

Patricia (Patti) JoAnne Froese Simoncini went home to her Lord December 4th after a brief stay at Sacred Heart Hospice in Dunmore. Her devoted and loving husband of 35 years is Samual Simoncini who remained at her side throughout all her illnesses. 

 

Preceding her in death are her parents Frank and Joan Derrig Froese, brother Michael Frances Froese and a nephew Jacky Froese.

 

Born and raised in Dunmore, she was a graduate of Dunmore High School and she resided in Dunmore for nearly all her life.

 

Patti received the most joy and happiness from being with her son Patrick and her granddaughter Gianna. Her love and pride in them was immeasurable and she would always work them into her conversations.

 

Patti fought many medical battles in her life from birth onward, but she persevered and even became the Dunmore Missy League All-Time Home Run Champion in her youth. 

 

She battled each illness with conviction and dogged determination. She went to heaven like a warrior going home, her final battle having been fought, she has earned her peace.

 

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at The Greenridge Nursing Home, Geisinger Community Medical Center and Sacred Heart Hospice for their care and compassion. 

 

Also surviving is her son Patrick Joseph Simoncini, his wife Chelsea and their daughter Gianna, Dunmore. Sisters Mary Davis and husband Roger, Lorain OH and Judith Taylor, Dunmore. Brothers Frank and wife Kathy Froese, Dunmore, Jack Froese and wife Patty Froese, Dunmore and Kevin Froese, Shawmut MT. Sister-in-law, Terri Brandt and husband William, Dalton and brother-in-law, Christopher Simoncini and wife Debra, Harrisburg, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Hospice, Dunmore Pa.

The memorial service will be Tuesday in the Morell-LaBelle FH 301 Chestnut St.Dunmore at 11:30 am.

 

Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service.

 

Interment Fairview Memorial Park Elmhurst.
