Patricia Ann Swor, affectionately known as Pat, was called home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2025, in Trinity, Texas. She was born on September 17, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to George William and Gertrude Albatine Ready.
Pat was preceded in death by her father George William Ready, her mother Gertrude Albatine Ready, and her first husband Goat Arnold.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 18 years, Joe Swor; step-children Shelly Webb and her husband Bubba, Winston Swor and his wife Shannon, and Stacy Chestnut; and step-grandchildren Shelby Webb, Ashley Webb, Colton Webb, Taylor Swor, and Tara Swor. She also leaves one brother, J. D. Ready and his wife Margie, along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Pat was truly a servant to her community and her God. She loved being in the family life centers, serving food to gatherings for family during reunions, funerals, celebration services, anniversaries, and all events at the church. Pat was a dedicated member of Trinity Church of God. She worked diligently as the church secretary for the Trinity Tabernacle Assembly of God.
She had a passion for travel and particularly enjoyed going on cruises. She also loved planting and gardening, and she had a special place in her heart for all animals, especially Yorkies.
Pat was an avid supporter of The Boys and Girls Club and volunteered her time at the Burning Hope Church resale shop as well as Avalon Place Nursing Home.
Above all, Pat was an outspoken follower of Christ, and her faith was evident in every aspect of her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.

I’m honored that Pat was a part of my life and I loved her dearly. She made the world a better place. Our last communication was a few days before she passed and she said she wanted to go home to the Father. I know she’s heard Him say well done Pat! See you soon in our heavenly home.

One of the most influential women I have ever known. She was my supervisor in TDCJ Human Resources in Benefits. She was a friend and had one of the most beautiful smiles I have ever known. Just saw her at my hairdresser a few weeks ago. I didn't realize she had a short time left.

38 years ago the Lord blessed my life with a Saint Pat Arnold Swor. She could have judged but as a faithful servant of the Lord she prayed for me and my family . When I was saved she became a valued mentor. Everyday I thank Jesus for her because I am growing and learning from the resources she shared. I will miss her deeply but I know she is in glory and we will be together again. My life and walk with the Lord is soooooo much better because of her. God bless and comfort Mr Joe and all the family. ❤
