Patrick Cullinan Obituary
Wakefield, NH-Patrick William Cullinan, 77 of Wakefield died April 18, 2017 at his home with his loving wife Mary at his side after a brief illness.
Born in Lowell, MA October 22, 1939 son of the late Charles J. and Katherine P. (Tucker) Cullinan he grew up in Chelmsford, MA, graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1958 and went on to attend UMass Lowell Campus.
He served his country during the Vietnam Conflict with the United States Air Force and was stationed in Italy.
In 1965 he married his wife of 52 years Mary L. Crowley. They lived in Lowell for 10 years followed by 10 years in Hyannis, MA before moving to Wolfeboro in 1987.
Patrick owned and operated Parsons Furniture in Wolfeboro from 1987 until 2015. In Lowell he was a salesman for Household Furniture Company and in Hyannis he was the General Manager of Meyers Furniture.
He served as the President of Lowell Kiwanis Club from 1976 to 1977 and he served as President of the Hyannis Kiwanis Club from 1980 to 1981. In Wolfeboro he was a member of the Wolfeboro Rotary Club. He enjoyed his family, boating, fishing and growing his business.
He was pre-deceased by his sister Kathleen Avila and his brother Robert J. Cullinan, he is survived by his wife Mary L. (Crowley) Cullinan, 4 sons Patrick Michael and his wife Barbara Cullinan of Cottage Grove, MN, Charles Daniel and his wife Melissa Cullinan of Merrimack, NH, Sean Christopher Cullinan of Brownfield, ME and Timothy Robert Cullinan of North Conway, NH. As well as 9 grandchildren John and Andrew Cullinan, Autumn Lea Bickford and her sister Amelia Bickford, Megan Taylor Cullinan-Newton, Timothy R. Cullinan Jr and Aubrey Page Cullinan, Thomas L and Hailey E. Cullinan.
Calling hours will be 4-8 PM Friday April 28 at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro, NH.
A Memorial Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday April 29 at the Church of St. John The Baptist, 118 High St., Sanbornville, NH
Burial will be in the NH State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to thank Wentworth Home Care and Hospice of Dover, NH.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Doctors without Borders or a Hospice Facility of your choice.

It’s all your fault that I have such high end taste in furniture. I’m still driving Phil crazy after all these years as he says you were right, I don’t have blood in my veins, it’s liquid furniture!

It is difficult to believe that it has been 5 years. I miss you every day dad. I hear your calm reassuring voice in so many things from day to day. I know you are there watching out for us and loving us from afar.
A funny Pat memory - We were at the Lakeview Inn and Mary, Pat & I were sitting at the table and Pat says, I always end up at the short end of the table. Mary and I looked at each other and I said... Dad, It's a square table. We laughed a lot about that. I miss your laugh dad, love you!

Patrick was a very supportive boss. When I was taking college courses, i would give him some of the problems we were given for homework and he would share his answers with me and I would share mine. After the passing of my dad I felt he was like a second dad. Felt bless that I had those 12 years in my life. Rest In Peace Patrick. You are loved by many. Keep watching over your family.

Pat was the most wonderful mentor I have ever had. We def had our issues in the beginning days of our working relationship, but once we got past that we grew to be great friends. I learned so much from him and think about him often. I was truly blessed to have had his guidance and love in my life.
Funny Pat memories-
A few weeks after meeting me he said
“if I stuck your head in a jar you still wouldn’t shut up! (luckily my alpha opinions didn’t get me fired!)
A few months later it was.
“If I make a potion of whatever it is you do and say to customers, put into a jar and sell it I’d be a MULTI-MILLIONAIRE!”

Patrick was a wonderful brother-in-law. He and Mary spent every Thanksgiving with us and, because he did such a good job of it, it was his job to carve the turkey each year. He loved my children, often giving them advise or encouragement. He was so proud of Shannon, David and Meghan and how they led their lives. For as long as we live we will miss him and be grateful for having had him in our lives. Kathy Moore

My fondest memories of Pat include: seeing Jackie Robinson at the Rialto; seeing movies every weekend at the Strand, Keith and Merrimack; taking the bus downtown to go Christmas shopping in the early 1950's; fun times at Corbett's Pond swimming, fishing, and cook outs; Red Sox games at Fenway Park; sledding champs of A Street; having a few beers, too few. Pat was the best grandpa I or my girls could have ever asked for. This loss is so profound. The only peace in all of this is that he is no longer suffering! You will forever be in our hearts and with us and the girls as they go on to accomplish great things in there lives becoming the women you helped and encourage them to be!!

Pat was one of the most generous and loving men I ever knew. I was blessed to call him "Dad" for the past 13 years. The kids will always remember their Angela "Papa" in heaven watching over them. We love you Pat!

I can't even begin to express how sorry I was to hear this. We had just exchanged emails a few weeks ago and yesterday for some reason he kept popping into my head. I guess he was there trying to tell me something. I was going to email him again and before I did I went onto FB and saw Melissa's post. My heart sank. Pat was the single most influential man in my life. He was my boss, my mentor, my confidant and my friend. We both shared a deep love for the furniture business and just recently laughed and reminisced that now, after both being retired from this industry, it is still in our blood. Pat gave me a chance and believed in me, something I never dreamed possible, and I am today, who I am, because of him and the opportunity he gave me to spread my wings and fly. I so wish I could be there at your memorial but will be in Bermuda on vacation and are unable to change our plans. You are well loved Patrick. I will miss you. My deepest heartfelt condolences to Mary, Chuck, Melissa and the rest of your family.
