Patsy Jo Young Bennett

1935 - 2021

On April 24th 2021 Patsy Jo Young Bennett was reunited in heaven with the love of her life Ellie Ray Bennett.  She was born on July 18, 1935 to Leonard and Nancy Clay Young in Campti, LA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and grandchildren, Antonio Esparza and Meagan Bennett.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Rae Esparza and husband Miguel and Robert Ellie Bennett; grandchildren, Ashley Bennett, Katie Bennett Procell, Matthew Ray Bennett, and Cruz Esparza; two sisters, Ruth Ellis and Marie Stover and husband Smokey; a brother, John Young and wife Elizabeth; as well as 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patsy loved to garden.  She possessed a green thumb and could make anything flourish.  In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching and was a talented painter.  Her paintings will always be a reminder of how gifted she was.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

A private family graveside service was held on Monday, April 26th at Russell Cemetery in Natchitoches Parish, LA.  Those honored to serve as pallbearers included Cruz Esparza, Matthew Bennett, Rickey Joe Aucion, John-John Young, Bradley Gros, Christopher Aucion, Christopher Posey (Big Sexy) and Joey Bennett.
