Paul Douglas Maphet
April 3, 1954 - March 16, 2026
Paul Maphet was called home to the Lord on March 16, 2026, after a brief but mighty battle with cancer.
Paul is now reunited with his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Elisabeth, and their dear son, Jason Maphet.
A longtime resident of Chipley, Florida, Paul leaves behind his daughter Robyn Maphet, future son-in-law William Feagley, and grandsons Wyatt and baby Garrett, who brought incredible joy to his life during his final years.
To say Paul was an amazing grandpa is an understatement. This man was born to be a pawpaw… and Wyatt was Paul’s entire world. Their relationship is one to be envied as it was so incredibly special for both of them. Whether it was weekly stops to the ice cream parlor for banana splits, endless games of Candyland, or just sitting on the back porch listening to music, these two were inseparable. It is a connection Wyatt will never forget.
Paul also leaves behind his sisters Ann and Karen, brothers Stephen and Dennis, his father, Paul, Sr., as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved very much.
Big love equals big loss.
As much as we grieve Paul here on Earth, he never recovered from losing his wife and son, both taken in such a short timeframe.
Elisabeth was the love of his life, and Paul loved to ride with his son on their Harleys… something he has missed doing since Jason’s passing in 2020.
And now, finally, they ride together again in heaven.
Rest in Peace, Daddy.
