Pauline Ann Cichy, 87, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Born on September 5, 1938, in Buffalo, NY, to Frances Margaret Curtin and Robert Winston Stiles, Ann was the youngest and last surviving of six siblings: Joseph, Brevidene, Joyce, Roslyn, and Robert Jr.
In 1959, she married John Stanley Cichy. Together, they built a 67-year marriage defined by a deep, lifelong commitment to one another and a shared sacrifice for their family.
A graduate of nursing college, Ann eventually stepped away from the hospital to raise her three boys. However, she remained the neighborhood’s go-to nurse, always willing to deliver allergy shots or medical care to any in need at her kitchen table. She was known for her infectious laugh, her mischievous sense of humor, and a fierce devotion to her sons.
Ann was a passionate sports fan whose loyalty to the Buffalo Bills and Ohio State football was legendary. However, her greatest enthusiasm was reserved for her sons' games. Armed with a cowbell and a thunderous voice, she was always the loudest fan in the crowd. At home, she found joy in cooking, playing cards, gardening, or a good book. She was most at home on the couch with a family dog curled up by her side.
Ann never passed up a good prank and always found a way to bring laughter into a room. Though she chose nursing as her path, her family finds peace knowing she has finally found her tap shoes in Heaven.
She is survived by her husband, John; her three sons, David and his wife Julie, John R. “Rob,” and Michael and his wife Jennifer; and her beloved grandchildren, Jake and his wife Emilee, Ian, and Reagan.
Services: A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on March 28, 2026, at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., with The Nurse Honor Guard of St. Louis to perform the Nightingale Tribute at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nurse Honor Guard of St. Louis. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Ann,
You were always a wonderful hostess and caring friend. Welcoming all the neighbors to root for the Buckeyes and the Bills ,was a "Hoot". No one could ever forget the genuine warmth of your fun-loving energy. those buckeye confections that you made for us to savor the flavor and reward to march around your first floor rooms like the Marching Band of O.S.U. Yes, precious one,you will always llve in a treasure trove of beautiful moments spent in your presence. Now,dust off those tap shoes, ring the cowbell and bring on you awaiting cheering section in Heaven.
Always and in all ways you are loved,
Jeudi J.~
