Dear Pauline, Tricia, JR & family: Very saddened to hear of Phillip's passing. I remember him as the strong, silent type, standing ready in the background ready to help wherever help was needed. He was a kind man and a very hard worker, and it was obvious he loved his wife and children very much. Praying the God of Comfort will be with you all at this time sorrow. He isnow resting in the arms Jesus.

Psalm 23. "The Lord is my Shepard, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He maketh me to walk in paths of righteousness for his namesake. Thou I walk through the valley of death, I fear no evil. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies. They annointest my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
God will bless, watch over and take care of your family - just as you did Phil. Rest in peace till we meet again.

Uncle Phil was a good uncle. Helped me out learning to do electrical work quite a bit and was good to work with.

Phil was a true patriot. We enjoyed many hours with him and Pauline, Branson is a great memory. The Jaquish, Edwards, and us, what a time we had. Many dinners and rides around Manistee County. We worked with Phil on Bear Lake Days, (he built the stage), did a lot of the heavy work, and Sparkle in the Park. We would worry about how to run the lights so they could be plugged in, his answer was always with a grin, "you put up the lights, I'll figure out how to make them light."
He will be remembered by many as a kind soul.
