Putnam Harrison Green, 101, a native Memphian peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday 12/20/2025. He resided in Somerville, TN the past 10 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Bettye English Green and infant daughter Sharon. He leaves behind his sons Paul (Barbara) Green of Somerville TN, Kris Green of LaFayette GA, and daughter Denise (Sam) Harvey of Newport News VA, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. After graduating from South Side High School in Memphis, he enlisted in the Navy in 1943. During his Naval Service as a Seabee during World War II, he participated in three, South Pacific Island invasions. After an Honorable Discharge, he became a brick and stone mason for 50 years. He was a life-long member of First Evangelical Church. Services for friends and family will be held at The West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.

My husband Rusty Rigg passed September 7, 2024. I have been trying to reach out to all of his friends. Put was a great friend to him and he often called him . We live in Helena, Alabama. So sorry for your loss.
