To family of Ray Davis, I knew Ray from my Florala days through my brother Dickie Moore (Class 67). Though I live in California now, I visited Florala a year ago with my brother, Dickie Moore and Pete Holloway. We visited Myron Anderson. I remember Melba very well also when Dickie and Sara were high school sweethearts. My visit brought back memories from a lifetime ago. I ran across Ray's memory page when I googled Florala. Please accept belated sympathy from Dickie and Jerry Moore

That photo brought it all back. And that's Ray the way I will always remember him. Such a loving tribute to a father well remembered and loved, Stephanie. My thoughts are with you, Jason, Melba, and your families as you work your way through the days, weeks, and months ahead and toward a life without Ray.

So sorry to hear about Ray. My heart felt sympathy to your family. If I had known sooner I would have been there. Please tell Melba I'm thinking of her. We graduated together.

Johnny and I both are so sorry to hear about Ray. He was a great person, always laughing, enjoying life, but he always loved his family and was very proud of all of his family. We both are saddened regarding your loss, but know that you ALL are in our thoughts and prayers. God's PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL, and know that you will meet again. So very sad to learn of the passing of Ray. When I think of Ray, the thing I remember most was his smile which he always seemed to be doing. He was a fun person to be around. My sincere condolences to Melba, his children, and the rest of his family. May God bless his soul.

Our sincere condolences to your family at this time. My husband and I both worked with Ray at Linbeck Construction for quite a few years. He was a carpenter foreman at the Tandy Center Hotel in Ft. Worth, Texas. Ray took pride in his work and didn't settle for less from anyone else. But come time for the weekends; he was going home to his family.
During that time, we met Larry Mitchell through Ray. From time to time, after they both left the company, Larry would call and update me on the ones we had worked with including Ray.
We wish you peace in the coming days ahead and hope that the good memories will comfort your family at this time.

I was one of Ray's classmates. I vividly remember drag racing with the guys and other things that require a Gov't Top Secret Security Clearance to know. Rest in peace my friend.
