Reinhold G. Dumschat
Reinhold “Reinie” Dumschat, 67, of Hampstead, NC, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at his home. Reinie was born on June 7, 1958 to the late Ronald and Regina (Frank) Dumschat in Newark, NJ.

He was predeceased by his brother and best friend Ronald Dumschat Jr. and his parents. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Boomer and his grand-dog Blizzard.
Reinie grew up in a family of machinist including his father, mother and brother, in Pottersville, NJ and he attended North Hunterdon Regional High School. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pender County Animal Shelter where he rescued many of his beloved dogs.

I’ve known Reinie for many years; he was my former brother-in-law. We had so many good times together; memories that I will cherish. Reinie loved his son, Kris, and was so very proud of him. Kris, you were a wonderful son to your Dad.

I have known Reinie for many years and always found him to be a fun-loving man who cared deeply about his son. Reinie always had a story to tell, some about his native New Jersey, and some about the work that he did.
I will miss him and the stories that I always enjoyed. To my nephew Kris, I am very sorry for your loss.
