Rena Allacia Matthews, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in Tampa, Florida. She was born February 21, 1960 in Sebring, Florida to the late Theodore Douglas Matthews and Geraldine Newsome. Rena loved to dance, joke and express herself. She was hard-working and was very special to many. She was caring and loved her family and friends. Rena is survived by her Daughter – Cassandra Matthews of Sebring, FL; Siblings – Vera, Mattie, Rosa, Sandra, Felecia, and Edwin; five Grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her Daughter – Crystal Matthews; Son – Anthony Matthews; Siblings – Cynthia, Patricia, and Terrance. Memorial contributions may be made to Moffit Cancer Center.
