     Richard (Dick) H. Wood Jr., of Evart, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at his home in Evart surrounded by his family. He was 64.

   Dick was born October 11, 1954 in Saginaw to Richard Hubert and Lila Lee (Grandy) Wood. Richard graduated from Carleton High School in 1972 and then received his Associates degree from Mid-Michigan Community College. He married Cindy M. Lodholtz May 24, 1980 in Saginaw. Dick was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and had worked for nineteen years at the PPG plant in Evart where he was also a UAW Union Steward. Dick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family, watching Detroit Lions football, and playing guitar.

   Dick is survived by his wife, Cindy M. Wood of Evart, his five children, Kevin (Teresa) Lodholtz of Sears, Autumn (John) Gott of Sand Lake, Ronald (Kristi) Wood of Weidman, Joseph (Ashley) Wood of Evart, Christopher (Chase) Wood of Raleigh, NC, eleven grandchildren, Lane, Troy, Cody, Courtlyn, Jaydin, Michael, Gabe, Natalie, Gavin, Jacob, and Mia, and a sister, Kathy (Dan) Siler of Carleton, MI. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Raymond, and Ronald.

   A Celebration of Life honoring Richard (Dick) Hubert Wood Jr. will take place at 3:00pm Saturday, January 12th at the Evart Community Building at the Osceola County Fairgrounds.
