Richard W. Drouin passed away peacefully at home in his sleep at the age of 80 after a long battle with C.O.P.D.
Born July 9, 1939, the second son of Earnest and Lily Drouin, he was raised in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School.
In the early 1960’s Richard moved with his bride, Linda Gray Drouin, to Rochester, New Hampshire to live and raise a family. He had retired after a forty year career in automotive manufacturing from Davidson Rubber/Textron located in nearby Dover to enjoy time with his family. Richard’s hobbies were many but he especially enjoyed collecting model trains, planes, boats and drones. He was a woodworker, and loved fishing and riding motorcycles. Richard was the ‘ROCK’ in his family… always present, always wise…quiet with a dry sense of wit and humor.
He was predeceased by his loving wife and will be greatly and forever missed by his six children, Ruth Lowell, Rick Drouin, Raina Drouin, Roxanne Drouin, Ralph Drouin and Ryan Drouin as well as all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

To the entire Drouin family I was so shocked and sad to hear of Dads passing. I love you all and you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so very grateful for the years that I had as part of the family. I pray for all of you to have comfort at knowing he passed away so peacefully.

To the Drouin Family - I am so very sorry that you had to say 'Goodbye for now' to your dad. He was such a great guy and I have many fond memories of him and your mom. They always welcomed us all into their home and we surely had some fun times! I'll bet that he and your mom will be in heaven, holding hands and singing, "I love a parade" when we meet up with them again. God bless you all!
