RICHARD TURNER Obituary
Richard T. Turner, 88, of Ashton, IL, passed away Friday, Sept 10, 2021, at home with family.
He was born January 23, 1933, in Haleyville, AL, the son of J.B. and Charity (McCormick) Turner. Richard married Norma Bakken on September 1, 1956.
Richard is survived by his wife, Norma, 3 daughters, Debra Turner of Dixon, IL, Jodi (Bill) Vogeler of O'Fallon, MO, and Lisa (Jerry) King of Esmond, IL; 10 grandchildren, Erica (CJ) Sawyer of Dunn, NC , Nathan (Cassandra) Parks of Steward, IL, Erin (Amador) Ramos of Lindenwood, IL, Nolan (Rachel) Turner of Minneapolis, MN, Jake (Sara) Vogeler of Petersburg, VA, Brandi (Justin) Post of Lee, IL, Jami (Luke) Sandine of O' Fallon, MO, Shelli (Matt) Solfisburg of DeKalb, IL, Kelli Vogeler of O'Fallon MO, and Richard King of Rochelle, IL; 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Sue Larsen of TX, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Louise Dolan; and 5 brothers Orbie, John, Roland, Curtis, and Wayne Turner.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 - 12:00, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Monday, Sept 20, 2021 at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Turner Family in care of Anderson Funeral Home, PO BOX 605, 2011 S. Fourth St, DeKalb, IL, 60115.
