Ricky Carrillo Jr. Obituary

Ricky Carrillo Jr., 40 passed from this life on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at his home in Odessa.  He was born on Tuesday, February 15, 1983 to the late Guadalupe Paredes and Ricky Carrillo Sr. in Abilene Texas.

Ricky was an amazing, husband, father, brother, and uncle. He was always the life of the party that enjoyed being with his family.  Ricky was a good cook, he and Cassie would make recipes from scratch together. He enjoyed fishing and having BBQ's and wrestling with the dog; Duke didn't like anyone, but he loved Ricky and they bonded during random drives.   He was great at giving advice and always had the best solutions to any problem that he came across; he always told it like it was and never sugar coated anything. Ricky enjoyed seeing people laugh; he would come up with the funniest, best and silliest ways to accomplish the laughter. His greatest accomplishment was how great he did raising his children and how great they turned out. He loved to tell the story of winning the fish cook-off in Del Rio, TX for three consecutive years. He loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. Ricky was truly a "One of A Kind"; a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend that will be dearly missed by all.

Ricky always said "the best always go first." He is one of them.

Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife Cassie; children, Angelina Christyle Carrillo, Ricky Carrillo III, Memery Dominguez, and Kyra Hudson; brother, Adrian Carrillo; sisters Patricia Ann Paredes, and Jassamine Jo Paredes; nieces and nephews, Marina Danielle Paredes, Priscilla Dominguez, Reyna Dominguez, Marcos Paredes, Joe Angel Paredes, Nathan Carrillo, Elijah Barriga, and Jasiah Barriga. Ricky was also a loving God parent to Mia Olivas and Freddy Almodova.

Ricky is preceded in death by his Parents, Ricky Carrillo Sr. and Guadalupe (Parades) Carrillo;
