Ricky Lynn Napier, 65, of Baxter, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born November 30, 1955 in Harlan County, he lived here all of his life. Ricky was a coal miner for 17 years and believed in the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, McKinley and Ida Osborne Napier; one brother, Otis Napier; four sisters, Loretta Napier, Charlene Pruitt, Viola Melton, and Lucille Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of forty-five years, Martha Gene Napier, Baxter; three children, Ricky Napier Jr. and wife, Crystal, Pathfork; Melissa Perkins, Baxter; Tabitha Hensley, Loyall; three brothers, Elmer Napier, Dizney; Darrell Phillips, Harlan; Donnie Phillips, Bell County; and one sister, Vickie Farley, Evarts.
Also, surviving are eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a niece, Robbin Napier; and a special friend, Larry Osborne.
Visitation will be Monday, May 24th, 2021, from 11-2 pm in the chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm with the Reverend Steve Daniels officiating.
Burial will be in the Evarts Memorial Gardens.

We are all taken too soon. I hope everyone can get through this at such a hard time. Life moves so fast that we feel we just didn't have enough time with those we lost. Rick was a good man with a big heart and was always good to me. He may not be in the world with us, but if we keep him in memory, it will be as though he never left. God bless.
