Rita DePasquale, 86, of Plains passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Allied Services Hospice Unit, Wilkes-Barre. She was born November 9, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre a daughter of the late Leo and Julia Velicky Pugh.
She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains and Wilkes-Barre Business Academy. Rita was formerly employed as the office manager for United Furniture and later retired as the office manager of Bedwick and Jones Printing.
Rita enjoyed being with her family and friends. She liked to arrange flowers and also had a love of music and being by the ocean. She was an avid reader and was always learning. Rita was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains, Plains Women’s Club, American Business Women’s Association, and the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy DePasquale, who was her high school sweetheart and best friend.
Surviving are her daughter, Leslie Gabriel; son Guy DePasquale and his wife, Natalie; grandchildren, Julia Isabella Gabriel and Jadon DePasquale; brother Leo Pugh and his wife Rose; several nieces, nephews, cousins and God children.
A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.

So sorry for your loss! I worked with Rita at United Furniture and have keep in touch. Leslie please let me know when you will have the celebration of life. I will miss her very much. Rita was a great friend

we have enjoyed Christmas parties at Bedwick and Jones ove the years. Rita was lovely to chat with always a kind word.
