My deepest condolences to Maxine and her entire family, Bobby you will truly be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know you. I worked for Bobby and Maxine when they first bought the donut shop in 1974 , I worked there until I graduated in 1976 and joined the Navy. Bobby taught me a very important lesson that I still live by today. Always be kind to everyone and help others when you can. Rest in peace my friend.

My Mom, Dad and grandmother were neighbors and friends with Pete and Merle Nivens in Gastonia N.C. Bobby and my brothers, Warren and Don Waters, played together. I am almost 78 and remembe my parents visiting Pete and Merle at Carolina Beach a few years after Pete took a job with the Police Dept. there. It was the first time I had ever seen the ocean. I remember my brother's talking about Bobby and growing up with him.
