Robert Burbank Obituary
Robert Lee Burbank
Elmore-Robert Lee Burbank, 62; after a long struggle with frontotemporal degeneration with ALS, passed away peacefully at Copley Hospital September 7, 2016 with his family by his side. He was born March 2, 1954 in Morrisville, the son of Lynwood Burbank and Olive Lace. He married Laurel Gustafson on March 3, 1976 in Patchogue, NY.
Bobby was employed as a chef at the Commodore's Inn in Stowe from 1986 to 2015. He enjoyed collecting foreign coins and was always looking for "wheat back" pennies. He had a warped sense of humor and could always make people smile. He cared deeply for his family and most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laurel Burbank; a son, Christopher Burbank and wife, Kristina; daughter, Morgan Lucier; and former son-in-law, Joshua Lucier all of Morrisville; grandchildren, Juliana Reed, Evangeline Burbank, Gabriel Lucier, Elias Lucier, and Kiri Burbank; brothers, Kenneth Burbank of Vermont; David Burbank and wife, Jackie of Tennessee and Lynwood Burbank, Jr. of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Kirk Burbank.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be held September 20, 2016 from 3 to 8 PM at the home of Christopher and Kristina. Please contact the family for details. Faith Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may be made by visiting faithfh.net.
The family would like to thank UVM Medical Center ALS Clinic, Colchester; Lamoille Home Health of Morrisville and Copley Hospital for help with his care.
