Robert Thomas Coleman, Sr.

1943 - 2016

Robert Thomas Coleman, Sr., was born January 16, 1943 in Rosemark, TN to the late Jason Cole Coleman and Sadie B. Malone Coleman. He made his heavenly transition on October 11, 2016 in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age at Bethlehem M. B. Church in Millington, TN. He attended Barrett’s Chapel High School. He was employed at Anderson-Tully Lumber Company and maintenance worker in St. Louis, MO, where he later retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jason and Sadie Coleman; sisters, Birdie Boga, Mary Atkins, Dorothy Knight, Judy Finley, Christianna Coleman, and Leola Johnson; brothers: George Coleman and Earl Coleman and one precious daughter, Dedera Renea Coleman.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sons: Marvin J. Coleman and Dr. Robert T. Coleman II; one precious daughter, Robin Adams, who cared for him and a special son-in-law who helped care for him, Micheal Adams of Cape Gireadeau, MO; one step-daughter, Stacey Williams of Memphis, TN; ten grandchildren, four sisters: Cliffie Pugh, Viola Snith, Vanessa Evans, and Mary Salter all of Memphis, TN; two brothers: Willie Coleman (Dovie) Of Burns, TN and Maurice Coleman Of Memphis, TN. He also leaves a special brother-in-law, Cliff C. Knight of Millington, TN, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
