I met Bob at our church, and he and his wife Sue became good friends. I have delightful memories of our time at the river—some great conversations.

Uncle Bob was my godfather. Until about 2 years ago, I don't think he ever missed sending me a birthday card, or an anniversary card. Some of my early memories of him include a vacation to Indian Springs Lodge with my sister, Sue, Mom, Dad, Aunt Mary, Uncle Bob, and cousins Bob and Tom. I remember several family barbecues and wiffle ball games at Grandma and Grandpa Neville's. And, in my early grade school years--just after my Dad had had back surgery--Uncle Bob escorted me to a Father-Daughter Brownies (Girl Scouts) Banquet since Dad couldn't take me....In July, 1969, Uncle Bob's TV went out just before man was about to take his first steps on the Moon. So, he piled his kids into the car and drove them to our house. They didn't miss that historic moment! What a great dad!...Uncle Bob enjoyed Cardinals' baseball, fishing at the lake, and he had the greenest thumb of anyone I've ever known. He was a good, kind family man. He will be truly missed by me and by so many others.

I met Bob and Sue when they moved into Bethesda Orchard, I was their housekeeper for a time. I saw the love they had for each other and the adoration they had Bob was such a sweetheart, I absolute loved Bob. He always greeted people and me, talked to anyone and everyone. My heart breaks about his passing, but I know that he is happy to be reunited with Sue. My condolences to all his family. Bob will be greatly missed.
