I learned of Bobs passing on 7/10/2020 after my wife and I drove through his old homestead In Strafford NH and I googled his name to try to locate him and say hello. Did not hear from him last year as we had been receiving Christmas cards since he left NH.
I have know Bob since the mid 80s when we worked today at Goss Lincoln Mercury in Portsmouth NH. Got to be friends with Bob and have I met some of his family. A true gentleman and friend. Bob loved his family and surely enjoyed golfing. A superb master technician on automobiles and he was every bodies go to guy for problem solving. He was willing to help you no matter what problems you had. Just to sit and have a great conversation or help you repair something was something Bob went that extra mile to do for you.
I am going to miss you friend. I will be paying my respects at your graveside. Until we meet again.

December 10, 2019

My wife and I met Bob while living in Arlington VA from 2004 until early 2014. We immediately became good friends and spent many evenings discussing life, work, sports, and family. Bob often spoke of his sons and grandkids and how he longed to see them again whenever it was possible. He was an avid Patriots fan and we were from Texas so the sports talk generally related to how great the Pats were, which we humbly took in good spirits. Bob agreed to remodel the kitchen in our 1943 vintage house in Arlington. I did all the grunt work and he handled the skilled pieces. I was astounded at how he could simply do everything and what a superb craftsman he was. Cars, motorcycles, and golf were other avenues in which Bob excelled. We played a round of golf on a pretty challenging course after his second knee replacement. He was not terribly happy with the 78 on his score card. Not bad for not having played in several months. He could make the ball sing.

I recently sent a couple of Facebook messages to let Bob know we were coming to Florida in a few months and wanted to see him. After hearing no response I discovered the news of his passing and was deeply saddened. Bob was genuinely one of the best humans I've encountered in my 68 years from many perspectives. Carrie and I offer our heartfelt sympathies, albeit late, to his family and friends. We will miss Bob. Rest In Peace my friend.
