Mr. Sheesley passed away Sunday afternoon May 11, 2014 at his residence at the age of 83 years. He was born February 9, 1931 in Plainview, Ohio. Bob started his career as a furnace installer for Sun Furnace and went on to work as a custodian at Hampton Township Hall and Allen Medical where he retired from after several years of service. He was also employed at Made Rite for ten years as a merchandiser. When he was not working he enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and also enjoyed a game of pool.
Bob is survived by his loving longtime companion Virginia M. Gorney, his twin daughter and son; Kimberly Mullins of Canel Winchester, OH and Mark Sheesley of Lansing and their mother; Mary Sheesley also of Lansing and one granddaughter; Lydia Mullins. Bob is also survived by Virginia's son Brian Richardson and his wife Dorothy of Freeland, one sister and brother-in-law; Betty and Bob Gerish, one niece; Betty Ittner and one nephew; Jim Bloomberg. He was preceded in death by his father; Clarence Lee Sheesley, his mother; Edna Martin and three sisters; Doris, Lois and Evelyn.
A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Fellowship Hall at the Bay City Wesleyan Church. For those planning an expression of sympathy the family ask that you consider a memorial to "The Wishes of the Family"
