Robert Vander Laan Obituary
Robert Lee Vander Laan, age 72, of Hudsonville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Diane Vander Laan; children, Melissa and Eric Grassmid, Mary and Sean Gordon, David and Julie Vander Laan; 9 grandchildren; brother, Gary and Clara Vander Laan; sisters, Sally and Calvin Bekkering, Joan and Michael Huffman, Linda and Harvey Fredricks; sisters-in-law, Beth Darling, Carol and Ronald Jones; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob owned and operated Vander Laan Home Improvement for many years. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Funeral services for Robert will be held on Thursday, September 14, at 11:00 A.M. at Hudsonville Reformed Church, 3950 Highland Dr. Hudsonville, MI 49426, with Rev. Don Van Slyke officiating. Interment Georgetown Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at VanderLaan Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 13, from 5 to 8 P.M. and on Thursday from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hudsonville Reformed Church.
