Robert R. Verchota

1953 - 2021

Robert R (Bob) Verchota of Geneva, Bloomingdale and Elmhurst passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, July 31st 2021.
Bob was born on July 22, 1953 to Robert John and Barbara Verchota
Robert grew up in Hillside, attending St Joseph’s High School (class of 1971). He went on to graduate from University of Miami (class of 1975). Bob continued his education by obtaining his law degree from Lewis University where he graduated magna cum laude and first place in his class. Bob worked in corporate law in private practice. Bob married Karen (Kuhr) in 1979.
He is survived by his wife Karen, sons Ryan (Jesi) and Kevin (Cara) and his beloved grandchildren, Declan, Leo, Miles, Isla and Lila; his father Robert John Verchota, his brothers Dennis Kalinoski and John Verchota (Pat) and his in-laws Emilie Welzel (the late Kip), the late Harlof Kuhr, Sylvia Levy, Kathe Vandergraaf (Max), Peter Kuhr, the late Ronni Kuhr, Kim Kuhr (Chris), Angelica Sivik (Larry), the late Anuschka Bourassa (Gary), Annelies Westley and all of the many beloved nieces and nephews.
He loved the company of his family first and foremost. His other passions included; bowling, golf and pool. Robert always enjoyed engaging in legal discussions with everyone he met.
