Dora, Lolly, Dolly, Rob, Tony, and the rest of the Ayala family,
It is sad, and difficult to say good-bye to a husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend.
Only Jesus can give us comfort, strength, and hope to cope with a loss of a loved one.
We are praying for all of you as you grieve for Roberto.

I have very special memories of Roberto, as I am sure many of you do.
Mom kept a picture of Roberto standing beside a "50's" beige/white and pink car.
Mom shared with me that Tío Roberto would come visit us and ask Mom to dress me in a pick dress, and
then would take me for a drive. I think I was between 2 and 3 years old. I love that picture!

As a college student, Roberto would always bring cantaloupes, tomatoes, and other produce that he
personally gathered from his ranch, to Mom's. It was fruit of his labor. He often asked Mom when
I was planning to come to Cotulla so he would get some fresh produce from his ranch and bring
me some to take back to San Marcos. Roberto knew I loved cantaloupes, and that I enjoyed eating
them from awesome ranch garden. Roberto was so generous and always gave me more than I could eat,
and often said I should share with my friends in San Marcos. Even after I was married, he would
include some extra produce for Cruz's parents. Roberto was an awesome farmer! He of course had
an amazing teacher in Grandpa Enrique.

Cruz, Isaac, and I, enjoyed many conversations we had with Roberto at family gatherings, or when he
stopped by to visit with Mom and Dad. He always made us laugh. I still remember he was the first
person that hugged me when I arrived at Grandma Rosa's house the day Grandpa Enrique passed
away. A friend had driven me from San Marcos, and dropped me off at Grandma's house. As I got
off the car, Roberto and others were outside. Roberto quickly hugged me, and I remember how
comforting it was.

Praise the Lord that we have hope in Jesus that we can overcome these sad times, and we look
forward to seeing our loved ones some day in heaven.

Sincerely,
The Jaimes Family
