Mr. Rogers Broussard, Jr., affectionately known as “Big Red,” was born on July 20, 1951, in Beaumont, Texas, to his parents, Rogers Broussard, Sr. and Catherine Leday Broussard. He graduated from Hebert High School in 1969. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Debra Landry, and they had three daughters from this union. He enjoyed cooking for the people he loved, listening to music, and spending time with his extended family members and friends.
Rogers retired from Mason Construction as a heavy equipment operator.
Sadly, Rogers passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
He is survived by his three daughters, Darcus Durgan (Thomas) of Aurora, Colorado, Courtney Broussard, and Amber Broussard (Erick), of Beaumont, Texas; sisters Theresa Robinson (Willie) of Houston, Texas, Connie Hill (Tyrone) of Austin, Texas, Sandra Broussard of Houston, Texas; brothers Darrell Broussard of Houston, Texas and Willie Broussard of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Rogers is preceded in death by his parents, Rogers Sr. and Catherine Broussard, and his wife, Debra Broussard.
