Ronald Carter Sr. Obituary

Ronald Lee Carter Sr., 56 of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on March 18, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital.  He was born on January 3, 1962 in Lynchburg, Virginia the son of Ellen Carter and George Brown (Debra).  He was the second oldest of nine siblings and was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Davis (January 16, 2010).

Ronnie attended Lynchburg City Schools and served in the United States Army.  After leaving the military, he spent a number of years in the restaurant industry.  He was very passionate about serving others and many loved his infectious personality.  Ronnie served as a member of Peaceful Baptist Church and truly loved his church family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Cedric Davis, Tiffany Davis, LaTasha Davis and Ronald Lee Carter Jr.; grandchildren, Tymeek Lewis, Aniya James, Cedric Davis Jr., Lachad Trent and Rayonna Trent; sisters, Sheryl Carter, Patrice Brown, Mandy Brown, Ellen Brown Davis (Charlie) and Katherine Brown-Austin (Derek); brothers, Marvin Fore, Allen Brown (Charlotte) and Raymond Muhammad (Edna); his favorite aunt, Mary Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Community Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Old City Cemetery.  Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home.  Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
