Ronald Eugene Travis, Jr. was born in Mountain Home, Idaho January 7, 1964. He was the son of Ronald Eugene and Pauline Elaine Travis. He passed away at his residence in Trinity, Texas on October 13, 2023.
Ronald was a graduate of Bethal High School in Oklahoma. He married his high school sweetheart Angela Collette Jones and began his family having two children Sunnye Travis and fiancé Ryan and Tracy Travis. He has served in the Army National Guard for more than 35 years. Ronald had a lifelong career working in the computer industry. He worked as a computer programmer analyst. He developed computer games and enjoyed playing them. Ronald and Angela owed and operated a sword fabricating business and produced swords for the public for more than 12 years. He enjoyed the sport of sword fighting.
He found joy when his grandson Dameon was born. He loved being a grandfather and being there for his three grandchildren Dameon, Travis, and Adelynn. Ronald is also survived by his mother Pauline Elaine Travis, sister Felicia James and husband Tommy, one brother Paul Travis and wife Chrissy, brother-in-law Timothy Jones and wife Racie. Ronald is preceded in death by his father Ronald Eugene Travis, Sr. Numerous other relatives also survive.

The last time I saw you we were leaving to drive back home from our Christmas trip visit with you. You came out of the gatehouse with big smiles and hugs for all. I wish I would have hugged you a little tighter and a little longer. You loved so big and with all of your heart. I love you and will miss you deeply,

Angela, So sorry to hear the sad and shocking news of the passing of Ron. Please receive our Deepest Condolences and May God’s presence sustain you and your family during this difficult time. To rons family angela, Tracy dameon and all of his family we send our heartfelt comdolences ❤❤ we loved ron and his love of his family and community. We loved talking to him at the gate. He always had a smile for his neighbors and a warm greeting. We will miss him very much. Godspeed our friend.
