Roy L. White, Jr.

Mr. Roy Lee White, Jr., affectionately known as “Junie”, 79, of 3836 Doe Run Court, North Prince George, VA, entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Battlefield Park Healthcare Center.  He was born on August 30, 1938 in Blackstone, VA.

 

He was a life-long resident of Petersburg, VA. Roy was employed at Brenco Company for 30 years and did not miss one day.  He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Petersburg, VA, where he used his beautiful voice to sing in the church choir.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee White, Sr. and Lucy Ann White. Roy was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Josephine Harper White and a brother, James E. White.

 

Roy leaves to cherish his memory a devoted sister, Juanita Jones (Sylvester) of Prince George, VA; a brother, David White (Francina) of Abingdon, MD; sister-in-law, Channie White of Petersburg, VA; a host nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA.  Interment to follow at Dinwiddie Memorial Park.
