Ruby Helen (Happy) Everett born May 16, 1938, in Paris, TX, and passed on January 20, 2021, at Audie Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, TX
Happy was 1 of 7 children born to Lester and Edna Earl Powell. Happy married Travis Everett on November 12, 1955, and they were married for 54 years until Travis passed away on January 23, 2010.
Travis and Happy had 4 children together, Troy Everett of Eagle Pass, TX, Zach Everett of Bryan, TX, Dana Embry of Pearsall, TX, Linda Jones of Dublin, TX, and a step-son, Joe Martin of Brownwood, TX.
Happy was a member of Eastern Star Lodge 693 in Comanche, TX.
Happy and Travis owned Happy's BBQ and Happy's Trucking in Pearsall for 18 years. She loved to crochet and do cross-stitch. She was a wonderful cook and made the best cobblers, peanut brittle, banana pudding, and her brisket and potato salad is still asked for and talked about today.
She enjoyed getting together with her friends to have dinner or coffee and have great stories and fellowship. She loved the lord and I assure you she is home... Heaven received a woman that loved life and people.
She is survived by all 5 children Joe, Troy, Zach, Dana, and Linda, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis of 54 years, her parents, and 3 siblings.
Visitation will be at Hurley Funeral Home on Monday, 1/25/2021 from 5-9pmFuneral services will be Tuesday, 1/26/2021 at First Baptist Church in Pearsall, TX at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Pearsall Cemetery.
