Ruby N. Railsback, 87, of Graceville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2023 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.
Ruby was born on August 3, 1935 in Columbus, Georgia to Homer Patterson and Annie Best. She had been a resident of the Florida Panhandle since 1977, coming from Mt. Plymouth, Florida. Ruby was a member of Blue Lake Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Homer and Annie Patterson; husband: Donald Railsback; son: Roger Dale Howard Jr.; daughters: Helena “Annie”Wallace.
She was survived by her daughters: Christina Cullum of Chipley, Florida, Yvonne Bates of Chipley, Florida, Penny Lopes, Gail Chapman; brother: Joe Patterson (Andi) of Chipley, Florida; sister: Margarette Jordan of Dothan, Alabama; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and a loving foster mom to many.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangement.

My foster mother (1982-4) who I just was able to find a year ago after 30+ years. A wonderful foster mother to me, my brother, and many other children during her lifetime. Even in the end, she showed how much she cared. I miss you Mama Nell, you’re always in my heart. See you in heaven.
