Ruby Reese 53, departed this life on July 15th 2020, at her home in Springfield Illinois. She was born on January 26th 1967 in Chicago Illinois at Michael Reese Hospital, Daughter of Jessie (Earlene) Hopson.
Ruby worked as a CNA at SPARC in Springfield Illinois caring for several citizens during her life.
Ruby was a member of Abundant Faith Outer Park Campus Church, where she enjoyed attending with her grandchildren. Ruby was a beautiful person who never met a stranger and would open her heart and her home to anyone who needed a warm bed or a meal to eat. She enjoyed listening to her oldies but goodies and a sitting on her porch enjoying a cold drink.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Earlene Hopson.
Ruby leaves to cherish her memories; 4 children; Michael (Kylisha) Ousley of Grand Prairie TX, Robert (Andrea) Howze, Knashai (Tyvinn) Pickett and Brianna Reese all of Springfield IL, her father; Jessie Hopson of Springfield IL, and 5 Siblings, Ricky Reese of Springfield IL. Glynis Smith, Massie (Roderick) Derrickson of Bloomington IL, Lueceafes Reese, and Ramona (Clarence) Briggity all of Springfield IL, twelve grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends and a special friend, Richard Prather.
