1939 - 2024

Rudy Gutierrez, born August 18, 1939, passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 29, 2024. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Pedro and Francisca Gutierrez; first wife, Mary Elena Arellano-Garcia; sons, Alfred and Kenny Gutierrez; grandson, Eric Gutierrez; brothers, Armando, Alfonso, Gilbert, and Bobby; sisters, Mary Dora, Rachel, Lillian Beatriz, and Angie. 

Survived by wife Phyliss; sons, Michael Gutierrez, Richard (Lisa) Gutierrez; daughters, Debbie (Felipe) Torres, Kathy (Jeff) Pruett, Bethany Gutierrez, Arlene (David) Haywood, Danielle Gutierrez; step son, Seth (Delia) Gonzalez; grandchildren Felipe Torres Jr, Michael Torres, Jessica Huff, Jeffrey Pruett Jr, John Pruett, Ashley Kearn, Anthony Gutierrez, Chelsea Gutierrez, Angela Gutierrez, Victor Rojas, Erika Frame, Samantha Rojas, Jianna Rojas, Andrew Haywood, Sarah Lorg, Natalie Haywood, Gabe Gutierrez, Noah Gutierrez, Meghan Gutierrez, Isabella Esparza, Audrey Esparza, Ezra Esparza, Seth Gonzalez Jr, Sara Gonzalez-Gibbs; 26 great grandchildren with 2 on the way; brother Ray (Linda) Gutierrez. 

Rudy attended North High School, and was a HVAC technician before he retired. Rudy enjoyed fishing, playing pool and watching boxing. Rudy was recently described by his little brother Ray as an M&M, hard on the outside, gooey on the inside. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Rudy was known for always being right, and he could fix anything. Rudy never liked to sit still, there was nothing he couldn't build, if someone said it couldn't be done, he did it. Rudy had a sweet tooth, the next time you eat a piece of German Chocolate cake or have a root beer float, think of him.
