ASTRINO, Russell Lee. November 24, 2025. Age 85. Beloved husband of Carol (nee: Feger) for 64 cherished years. Loving father of Russell Astrino (Shari), Vicki Frank, the late Michael Astrino, and the late Ben Astrino. Proud and loving Papa of his grandchildren Melinda, Timmy (Ashley), Ben (Leah), Zachary, Justin (Autumn), Brandon (Maddie), Haley, Trevor (Kylie), and Dylan (Macey) and his great-grandchildren Rhett, Rocky, Rex, Adrian, Macey, McKenzie, Tripp, Ophelia, Chloe, Amelia, and Bianca. Dear brother of Rose Curtis. Russ was an intelligent man who had a successful career; he worked as a controls engineer for General Motors and retired after 30 years of service, then went on to work as a sales engineer for the Canadian company NCC Electronics. He liked to golf and play racquetball and enjoyed a good cigar and scotch. More than anything else in his life, Russ loved his family. He was devoted to his wife, proud of his children, and most proud to be a Papa. Russell was kind, generous, and had a big heart; he will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation Monday 5-9pm and Tuesday 1-9pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 54880 Van Dyke (at 25 Mile Rd.), Shelby Township. Instate Wednesday 9:30am until time of 10am Mass at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 53600 Mound Rd. (S. of 25 Mile Rd.), Shelby Township. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
