Sandra Lynn “Sandi” Murphy went to be with Our Father on August 30, 2021. She fought a hard, courageous battle with COVID.
Born April 26, 1964 to Phillip and Elaine Biddison in Chicago Illinois, Sandi has one sister, Dianne Biddison.
Sandi grew up in Cary Illinois, a small town northwest of Chicago. After graduating Cary Grove High School, in 1982, Sandi started working in the legal field as an assistant. While working she attended MacCormac Junior College in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Sandi moved to Florida in 1985, married her high school sweetheart, Bob and attended Bay Area Legal Academy in Tampa, Florida, where she earned her Specialized Associates Degree in Court Reporting. She then went on to work two years Court reporting before going back to Assisting in the Legal field for the majority of her career. She also worked in the Insurance Industry for eight years.
Sandi had a huge heart, her passion was caring for others and animals, she researched everything to the nth degree before giving an opinion or taking action. She loved her family, friends and her coworkers. Chicago sports were always a hot topic in the Murphy household. Sandi bled Cubby Blue!
She will be missed dearly. She enjoyed working with our Church’s Children’s Ministries, sunsets on the beach, softball, bike riding, traveling and playing poker with friends, while having a margarita in hand.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Phil and Elaine Biddison and Ruth and Robert Murphy of Cary, Illinois.
Sandi is survived by her husband, Bob; her sister, Dianne Biddison of Riverview, Florida; sister in law, Kimberly and husband Robert Thomson of Woodstock, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life is tentatively scheduled for April 2022. Details are being worked on and will be forthcoming.
