Dad, even though I cannot be here today because I am taking care of Mom, I want to honor your life and your service with the deepest respect. You served this nation as a Retired Sergeant Major of the United States Army, fully decorated and committed to duty, leadership, and courage. Your legacy stands strong, and your name carries honor.
I will continue to let your grandchildren know who you are — the soldier, the leader, and the man who dedicated his life to serving this country. Your story will live on through them, and your memory will remain a part of our family’s history. Today, I stand with you in spirit, grateful for your service and the legacy you leave behind.
Your son,
