Sharon was the most wonderful aunt in the world. I've never know anyone with her energy and sense of fun. She and my mother loved each other dearly and I'll never forget the sound of their laughter.

Jimmy, Joy & Lynley, I just this hour received the call about your mom from a friend in Texarkana.
I met your mom around 1988. She was almost 50, I was 27. I learned so much from her, including how to laugh at myself…and to just laugh.
Her sense of humor was so infectious. I have so many awesome memories of your mom.
A few that come to mind:
Working with her on and off for many years in the travel industry

Going to Dallas to watch her be the star at a comedy club when she presented herself in a tutu to do her very funny act

A spur of the moment trip to a Mississippi casino on a New Year’s Eve

A simple fishing trip – just a pole, a cork and a little bait.

I spoke to her just a few months ago on the phone…..she was still laughing, and so was I.
I will miss her so much…..
Love you Sharon,
Sherry (Mathews) Justiss

Lynley,
I barely knew your mother, but I know this much...she was one of a kind...always bringing laughter and her wonderful sense of humor to everyone around her. She had a great gift. Once the shock and grief over losing her lessens, you have a lifetime of wonderful memories to keep her alive in your heart. My sincere condolences to you and all of your family during this difficult time.

June 22, 2011

Sharon - I miss you so much. I wish I could take a fraction of your humor and carry it through every second of the day. I am so pleased that you got to spend time with your grand-son "JB Hill" and got to know the family that he and I are today. Sending lots of love to the entire family. I am thinking of all of you during this time. Let us all remember the laughs, so many there are to think about. Love all of you - Kasey and JB Hill

How I wish I could be with Sharon's family and many friends to celebrate her life tomorrow. She gave us all the gift of laughter whenever we were around her. There will never be another person like her. She was the greatest friend to so many and would do anything and everything for any of us. She was the one who always called my friends to get together when I was in town. She was such a loved addition to all of our lives.
To you children: you have so many good memories to carry you through. Just know that she was so loved by so many.
(And I'll bet she's organizing a garden club right now in Heaven)
Sincerely

Lynley, Jimmy and Joy,
I babysat for your parents 45 years ago when you lived on Dogwood. She was always so very sweet and happy. After watching the video tribute, it is plain to see her life never changed. In all the photos, she looked like she was laughing.....not just smiling. May you find peace and comfort in your precious memories.

I am heartbroken by the passing of Sharon. They say that the mark of an amazing person, is someone that reminds you of no one else. That is so true with Sharon. She was one of the most alive people I have every known. She was also an angel to my mother, Jerry Wyatt. We love you so much, Sharon. Every time I think of you, I laugh. Great Sharon stories will make me laugh for the rest of my life. Until we meet again ...

Sharon's Family,

I got to know Sharon working with Lynley and through another common friend as well. I read the other comments -- and I just have to echo that every time I thought of her, it made me smile because I could remember her wonderful laught. I know she had her share of difficulties to deal with, but you would never know it from her demeanor. We need more Sharons, and I know she will be missed by a great many people.

Words can not express how much sweet Sharon will be missed by so many of us. She had a zest for life. She loved her family and friends. When life would get boring.....Sharon would show up with a bounce in her step and a smile on her face. She will be sorely missed. But as she told me in the hospital "I had a wonderful life and I am ready.". I just hope heaven is ready! I guess our loss is heavens gain. I miss her already.

Jimmy, Joy and Lynley, the world needs more Sharons. Alas, she was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. Your mother was a dear friend of our family for years and years. She sent me a harmonica a couple of years ago with a photocopy of her hand-written key to "Amazing Grace": 6-7-8-8-8-7-6-6... I just adored her.

To Sharons family, Sharon had the greatest sense of humor of anyone I have ever met. To make people laugh is a
wonderful gift and she could do that like no other. She was my sisters best friend which made her a dear friend of mine. I look forward to hearing that outrageous laugh once again. Thinking of you all. Love, Little Mary Wilmans Burton

Sharon, you were one of my very best friend's little sister, I have been in awe of you for years. You have the best personality and were honestly the funniest person that I've ever known. That's what I tell everybody. I am so glad I got to hear your speech last year in Jacksonport as well as seeing you at John Purdy's a few years ago. You and Freddie Anne will be together once again, two beautiful ladies.
Love you, Molly
