Sharon Hoy Obituary

Sharon Dehoux Hoy
December 25, 1955 – January 29, 2026
Sharon Dehoux Hoy, born December 25, 1955, passed away peacefully on January 29,
2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Affectionately known as “Nannie,” Sharon was a
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her warmth,
humor, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of
knowing her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marian and Al Dehoux.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and a natural ability to make others laugh. Sharon
truly never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcome.
Throughout her life, Sharon built a strong and diverse career. She owned and operated her
own restaurant before transitioning into medical coding and healthcare administration,
where she served in several roles until her retirement. She approached every position with
dedication, pride, and resilience.
An avid Philadelphia sports fan, Sharon passionately supported the Eagles, Flyers, and
Phillies. Win or lose, she remained loyal, loud, and full of team spirit.
Above all else, Sharon treasured her family. As “Nannie,” she was a steady and loving
presence in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always ready with a
laugh, a hug, or a comforting word. Her legacy lives on through the generations who carry
forward her strength, humor, and love.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Michael Hoy, who faithfully stood by her side
throughout their life together.
She is also survived by her children, Lisa Pattisall; John Kutch Jr. and his wife, Sarah; and
Jerri Kerlin and her husband, Scott.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Taylor Hicks and husband Robin (great
granddaughter Karoline), Alyssa Pattisall, Syxx Pattisall (great-grandson George VI),
Cheyenne Pattisall (great-grandchildren CJ, Octavia, Octavius, and Saphira), Seven
Pattisall (great grandchildren Hayden and Rosie), Austin Gillespie (great-grandchildren
Payton, Kayden, and Jade), and Owen Kerlin; as well as her grandson, Fett.
She is further survived by her brothers: Freddy Dehoux and his wife, Janet; Mark Dehoux
and his wife, Robin; Paul Dehoux and his wife, Robin; and Jerry Dehoux and his wife, Carol.
She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Andrews Funeral Home.
A luncheon gathering will follow at Olive Branch Global Methodist Church.
In Lieu of Flowers Donations may be made in Sharon’s memory to the Riverside Foundation

Sharon touched my life starting 25 years ago when we were working at Riverside. And over the years we became BFFs. It's funny because I'm an introvert and she was an extreme extrovert. They say opposite personalities attract, and it was so true . She laughed out loud, had great empathy for others, and loved her friends and family unconditionally. She was crazy fun to be around and you always knew when she entered the room. She didn't have the best filter on her mouth, and she always said exactly what she felt . BUT, that's what made her so lovable and genuine. There was a side to her that was also serious and very professional. She worked multiple jobs in the medical field and was the best at everything she did, and I truly looked up to her and trusted her extensive knowledge. She was one of the most generous people I knew. She gave her time and resources to those who were in need without hesitation and without expectation of anything in return. I can only imagine how these last few years have affected her mentally and physically. But she faced it with dignity with the help of her devoted husband and children. She knew she was blessed with their love at all times. Up until the end she was a force to be reckoned with and I'll never forget how good she made me feel when I was around her. She had a way of uplifting my spirits with her X-rated AND family friendly jokes and boisterous laughter. I hope heaven is ready for her big personality and loving spirit. I love you and miss you Sharon.

I’m sorry we lost contact after her stroke but I will remember the fun-times we had playing softball and enjoying her funnel cakes and other delicious delights she loved to share with me. I’m sorry I will not be able to make the service but I will not forget Sharon. My sympathy to the family.

Mrs. Sharon will be greatly missed by our family! She always had a cheerful smile, rooted for the kids and had such great sense of humor! What a blessing it has been to have been touched by such a wonderful person. May she rest in the arms of the Lord, finding eternal joy, peace, comfort and joy in heaven.
