Sharon Lea Kuhn

1937 - 2025

Sharon Lea Kuhn, 88, of Cedar Rapids, died after a short illness on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at St. Luke's Transitional Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 Wednesday, December 17 at St. Patrick Catholic Church by Rev. Dennis Miller. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home, and on Wednesday at the church after 9:30 a.m.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Alan) Bailey; four sons, Joseph (Renae) Kuhn, Jr., Michael (Tammy) Kuhn, Steven Kuhn, and Brian (Angie) Kuhn; four grandsons, Cody, Derek, Dustin, and Taylor; six granddaughters, Tara, Lydia, Emily, Kiara, Ashley, and Heather; four great-grandsons, Jackson, Weston, Beau, and Giovonni; three great-granddaughters, Kinley, Lenyx, and June; and a sister, Joan Hazell. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, Sr.; daughter, Lyn; and brother, Dale Streets. 

Sharon was born on July 18, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John and Gladys (Hamilton) Streets. After graduating from high school, she went on to earn her CNA certification. On October 4, 1958, Sharon was united in marriage to Joseph Kuhn, Sr. in Cedar Rapids. Joseph passed away on March 12, 2021.

Throughout her life, Sharon worked at Armstrong Café, Kmart, and as a home healthcare nurse—a role she took great pride in. She was also a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Sharon enjoyed reading and watching movies.  Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.
