Shawn Darrel Goley

 

Age 38, of Portage passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025. He was born on January 21, 1987, to Darrel Goley and Nahrin (nee Ivan) Goley in Valparaiso Indiana. Shawn loved to build motorcycles, and his creativity was one of a kind. He mastered dyno tuning, building motors, and sound systems. Shawn was always there to help others. He taught his daughter Brielle how to ride a motorcycle at the age of 2 and he took great pride in helping her build her 1st Harley this year. His baby girl T-T Lynn was the light of his life, whether playing Barbies, midnight shopping trips or taking motorcycle rides. Shawn will be remembered as the wild child and the life of the party.

He is survived by the love of his life, Danielle Goley; daughters, Brielle and Tabetha; parents, Darrel Goley and Gail Goley; mother, Nahrin Goley; siblings, Michelle (Jim) Kizer, Jim (Katie) Goley, Lisa (Andy) Grove, Jim (Chrystal) Wilhelm, Dennis (Victoria) Kepic, Samantha Mabbott, Saul Goley, Steven Goley and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Wanda Goley; stepfather, Dennis Mabbott and Beloved dog, Lovey.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his daughter Tabetha Goley benefit account at any Fifth Third Bank.

A graveside service will line up for procession on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 12:30 pm at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart Indiana going to Heritage Cemetery, 6941 Central Ave. Portage, Indiana 46368 for a 1:00 pm burial.
