Sheryl L. Kuritar (nee Kenney), of Mason, Ohio, passed away July 8, 2021 at the young age of 56. She was born Tuesday, September 15, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to William Robert and Claudette Sue (nee Anelich) Kenney.
Growing up in Westerville, Sheryl discovered a love of swimming holding several records for years in her summer league and for Westerville North High School. With a green thumb, Sheryl spent hours in her vegetable and flower gardens creating a yard that family and friends envied. Sheryl has left her mark on the world and left it a much happier and brighter place for many.
As a teacher for Kings Local Schools, Sheryl shared her love of history, touching the lives of many young students. She lived her life to the fullest and loved planning her next adventure. Sheryl loved to travel and truly felt at home when she was on a beach or a cruise ship. Visiting battlefields always gave Sheryl a story to share with others that loved history.
O-H..........I-O!! Sheryl's story wouldn't be complete without mentioning her love of Scarlet and Gray. She looked forward to Fall every year wearing her Buckeye attire and cheering on her favorite team alongside her favorite people.
Sheryl never met a challenge she couldn't handle; she would meet every situation head-on with a positive attitude. Even in her death, Sheryl brought others light as she was able to gift her vital organs to complete strangers. Her generosity will now live on in others. Sheryl will be forever loved and cherished by those that knew her.

Sheryl was our neighbor and friend for more than 25 years, we watched her boys grow up, and we had many good times together on our front porch or deck, or in her spectacular backyard that she was always making more beautiful. Sheryl was a very positive woman, a strong minded, loving woman who took the good with gratitude and her great smile, and the bad with determination to move on and not give up. She was an amazing money manager, even in tough times! I was in banking for 32 years and told her she should teach classes about that too! We are so glad that we could continue to stay in touch with her on FB after we moved to AZ, and to see how happy she was with Greg and her boys. She was very proud of all of them. Her passing is a shock to all of us, but we thank God for the time we had together.
